Body ImBalance (Before)
  1. What is Chiropractic?
The purpose of chiropractic is to restore and maintain the relationship between the spine and the nerve tissue that leaves the spinal cord. The bones of the spine, called vertebrae, house and protect these vital nerve pathways. This is called Vertebral Subluxation.

Vertebral subluxations can occur for many reasons but no matter what the cause, the result is always the same- less than 100% life expression in the body. Thus, organs, glands, and muscles are prevented from functioning properly. This causes malfunction, disorder, and disease in those areas supplied by nerves whose vital pathway has been shut down at the spine.

    Body Balance (After)
Vertebral subluxations are silent killers. Usually there are no noticeable symptoms felt when this misalignment occurs. It may be years before the first symptom is noticed. Unfortunately, this means the nerves have been damaged to an advanced degree. The organs, glands, and muscles supplied by these nerves have been functioning at less than 100% for years, and are now trying to tell you that something is seriously wrong.

  2. Can Chiropractic help me?
Accidents that tear ligaments holding the spinal bones together create a weakness for the spine to misalign. These injuries may include: the mechanical delivery procedures of hospital childbirth, the falls of infancy and childhood, sports injuries, and the various traumas of adolescence and adulthood. These accidents coupled with the tremendous mental, chemical and emotional stressors in our lives break down the supportive structures of the vertebral joints. This creates a weakness allowing the vertebrae to lose their normal relationships.

The definition of health is not merely the absence of symptoms or disease, but mental, physical, spiritual, emotional, and social well-being!

  4. What is NUCCA?
The National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association is a group of people committed to Excellence in the assessment and correction ( not just the adjustment) of the Human Frame.

NUCCA is a body of knowledge that is concerned with correcting the spine to a normal, natural position and allowing that person’s life to be fully expressed.

NUCCA is The most specific Chiropractic technique, as well as one of the gentlest. Among the different techniques within the Chiropractic profession, the NUCCA procedure is one of the few that demonstrates the misalignment of the patient’s spine before and after the adjustment. This gives us a clear advantage over other techniques because we can “ tailor-make” the adjustment specifically for the individual. Every misalignment is unique and should be corrected accordingly. The X-ray after the adjustment demonstrates whether we have fully corrected the patient’s spine, and if not, what changes need to be “fine-tuned” in order to do so. The technique emphasizes the use of math and science and was created based on engineering principles. This leads to the increased accountability and integrity of the NUCCA doctor.

Removal of the misalignment is very important to the patient’s overall health. The nervous system composed of the brain and spinal cord controls and coordinates the function of every organ, tissue, and cell in the body. When a misalignment places pressure on the nervous system, any type of disease process or malfunction of the body can occur. The NUCCA procedure’s focus is removing the misalignment from the spine with as few corrections as necessary over the lifetime of the patient. It is not the adjustment that heals, it is the holding of your adjustment that allows healing to take place. This allows the nervous system to function at 100%, proceed through the healing cycle, and maintain a higher standard of health.

Less than 200 Chiropractors in the U.S. practice the NUCCA procedure. Please take a moment and consider your friends and loved ones that could benefit from having their spine checked.

  5. What changes I might expect following the NUCCA Correction?
Immediately after a NUCCA correction body balance is restored, muscles relax, circulation is increased ( improved blood and oxygen delivery), communication between the brain and the affected area improves and the body’s self-healing process begins.

The body during this immediate healing process post-correction may react in many different ways after the NUCCA correction:
    • Alleviation of pain and symptoms
    • Tired and/or relaxed feeling
    • Light headedness/headache
    • Sinus drainage or popping in the ears
    • Swollen lymph nodes
    • Joint popping as muscles relax
    • Throbbing or tingling sensations throughout the body
    • Muscle soreness from lactic acid release over the next few days
    • Pain in the area of an old injury
    • Skin temperature changes, including perspiration
    • Body elimination-diarrhea or constipation
    • Pain will move to a variety of areas around the body
    • Many times discomfort will move to the hands and feet and eventually leave the body
